With the Companion Animals Regulation 1998 Act is only recognizes Dogs and Cats as living animals. I do believe in this society people are more leaning to easy-care pets such as aquatic pets. However, with that, people are not providing a duty of care towards them. Some of them are kept in a tiny tank with nowhere to swim or no filter to clean the water they swim in. Some might say that they're just fish and have no life but we have problems with Killer Whales being kept in tanks why don't we recognize them in this piece of legislation?
