I believe that our city of Texarkana can come together for a new skatepark for our great community of skateboarders / skateboard enthusiasts I am deeply invested within our Community and passionately working towards its betterment, particularly that of our younger generation. Their drive to get better reminds me of the life lessons that can actually come from skateboarding, trail and error, consistency, & not giving up.

We have seen our current skatepark and how it’s brought people in and out, and it’s been a forever question “What would our community look like with a bigger Skatepark?” It Would Thrive! Everyone knows that. I’ve seen people from all over come visit our skatepark throughout the years and everyone has the same complaints “It’s too small and congested” , “Only one person can skate at a time” , “It’s too compact” , “Not enough street obstacles” We need a Change!

I would like to cater to each type of skater there is, from any age, &That can be incorporated with just a proper skatepark design and builder. So I’ve decided to go towards the idea of using “Hunger Skateparks”. They make really useful/unique style skateparks and feel they would be able offer us what we’re looking for.

We are extremely grateful for what we have and that’s why we have kept it so nice and tried our best to build the scene! However it is time for us to expand on its potential.

Our skatepark is loved by many but it's constrained by limited space and aging infrastructure. By constructing a new addition, we can provide more space for our youth to express their athleticism and creativity, encouraging them to engage in outdoor activities which is beneficial to their health and well-being.

The Skate Park Association of the United States of America (SPAUSA) states that 6.3 million people in the U.S skateboard and approximately 3.1 million of those are under the age of 18. A thoughtfully-designed expansion can serve as a recreational haven for our youth, increase local tourism, and induce a positive economic impact.

Let's work together. Let's build a city that our kids will be proud of. Let's make a positive impact on their lives and keep them meaningfully engaged. Every voice counts, so sign this petition and let's Expanding our city's skatepark. By doing so, we not only create a safe and inclusive space for skateboarders, but we also invest in the future of our community. You can make a difference. So, please, sign this petition today.
