My name is Marianna and I've been housebound with severe ME / CFS for the past 3 years. 

I have no social life,  no days out with my family and no quality of life. 

My lovely partner works full time and our beautiful son is at school full time,  therefore I'm alone for the majority of the time. 

Due to all of this, we have asked our lovely landlord whether we can get a dog as my mental health/therapy dog to battle the loneliness and to bring joy to my days.

Our landlord is very nice and understanding but his hands are tied due to the freehold company having a no pets clause, as we live in an apartment block ( yet there are cats in our building! ).

My request is to highlight the importance of the Pet Provision in the New Renter's Reform Bill. 

This Bill is on its way and has been mentioned in the King's Speech on Wednesday 17th of July 2024.

I'm petitioning for the Pet Provision  to not be overlooked in this Bill and for the renters to be allowed pets within reason. 

Many renters have to give up their family pets because the landlords don't allow them.  This is heartbreaking for the pet owners and also results in many dogs ending up in shelters or being put down!

Please help me highlight the importance of this part of the Bill as I am not the only one who wants / needs a pet.
