We want more food trucks in New Orleans!

That won't happen with current city laws. The codes governing mobile vendors are out-dated and overly restrictive. Let's agree to change the laws, so that they encourage new business, benefit neighborhoods, and build the strength of our city's restaurant industry.

Food trucks are an important source of economic opportunity for entrepreneurs of all types. They can also enhance the culinary culture of our city, enliven streets, and provide food options in underserved areas---if we let them.

This petition is aimed at growing support for our cause in principle. With the petition in hand, we will work transparently to develop and negotiate specific changes to the city code.
