I have been researching this topic for over a year now, and I have learned that there are over 400 alternatives to animal experimentation. I think we have been stuck in a primitive state of mind. We need to use the technology we have to advance our knowledge. We need to stop the use of animal experimentation and move into to 21st century. Many colleges like Harvard, Yale, and Stanford have already replaced live animal use with non-animal teaching methods. We need to follow their example and eliminate the use of animals in our colleges as well.
