Justice for James Riley Dunklee

Justice for James Riley Dunklee
The Issue
New Mexico has had another death of a child. A child that was left in the care of a man, who knew his mother a short while. This man has not been named, and there are no leads, no arrests, and no names.
This child was my nephew, James Riley Dunklee, born on January 17, 2015 and went to heaven on December 10 ,2019. He did not get to see Christmas or his fifth birthday. He was in my care this past summer, until his mother picked him picked to go to the zoo, and we never saw him again. CYFD did nothing, they told me it was not illegal for them to be homeless. I attested that it was illegal for neglect of medical care, clean clothes, and food.
James was in and out of care with his maternal family his whole life. He stayed with another sister as an infant, and was in my mothers home for many other years of his life. He was loved and cared for by all the family. He was loved by his grandmother, and had his own room in his grandparents home, with all his toys. His mother is a serial dater, going from one man to the next, and had no contact with James father.
James was a child who loved everyone, he would make friends and say hi to any one who come his way. He loved his dog Kal-el.
I want CYFD to fix themselves, I want the state of New Mexico to change laws. I want #Justice for James, and we can do this together. Make this movement national, for James, and for all those other children we lost this year, and those previous.
Take action to go against the negativity. Take action for children lost in the system, take action to do better. Children are our future, why don't we treat as so?
