85 percent of sex offenders do not re offend, according to most recent statistics. Megan's Law is  too harsh to be still on law today, the normal parole standard is ten years. But after the fifteen years of being on megan's law you have to go back to the parole board and most likely get denied to get off and be told you will have to be on it for life. And most go in front of the parole board and get denied instantly to get off parole just because of there past crime. They look at the original crime and not the person they become after they did there time. So there on parole for life.

 It's unfair treatment for a one time offender of any kind. Imagine stealing a piece of gum and having to be on parole for life after an incarceration and being labeled for life without signs of moving on with there lives.
