New Jersey Department of Transportation: Stop the overnight roadwork on South Avenue (Route 28) in Westfield
Please help us to stop the drilling, bulldozing, and jackhammering between the hours of 8pm and 6am on South Avenue in Westfield. This is a residential area, where people are kept awake at night for roadwork being done 15 feet from their houses! There are families on this street, with children who need to go to school in the morning and who cannot sleep at night. Please support us in our journey as we fight this decision.

The overnight drilling on South Avenue (Route 28) in Westfield is causing great disturbance to the residents who live here. There are families on this street with young children, elderly people with health problems, and people who simply need to function during the day but cannot because they are awake at all hours of the night due to drilling, bulldozing, jackhammering, and spotlights. We are sick of being told "there is nothing we can do" and "it's a contract job."
If you have any decency at all, you will reconsider keeping people awake at night and do this work during the day.
