

Tonight's the night - well at least the first slow step in a very slow process it seems. Tonight Gilly Jones (member of the New Forest Roads Awareness Group) will be presenting her petition to the New Forest District Council, pressing them to push for average speed cameras on the B3078, Roger Penny Way. She will be the main speaker as it was her petition that triggered the debate before the council.
I have also been invited to speak and will do my best to support her, and to support our animals, backed up by all of your support as signatories to our national petition which has to date collected 63,665 signatures. I cannot thank you enough and for the individual comments that you have made.
After tonight there will be a gathering of thoughts as to the next best step. Whatever the outcome, the police at top level have to be our next port of call. I have to extend particular thanks to one lady who has sent me a wealth of information to collate and present to them.
