The volleyball team is one of the many successful teams at University High School. The girls team  have won 2 championships and have made it far into state playoffs in the span of 4 years. They have worked hard to earn the Division 1 title. The boys team is strong and is seen as one of the best teams in the City Section. They are in the Open Division and always put on a show. In total, the boys have won 9 championships. Although they have many accomplishments, their equipment is old and or broken. The coach is spending his own money for new equipment even though he should not be. University High School should acknowledge this team due to their many accomplishments. The gym does not have banners from recent years. Some of the pads on the walls come off which can hurt an athlete. This can also hurt someone on the basketball team. The poles that hold the nets are broken. The middle court is not used anymore due to not being able to crank the net up. The teams also deserve new jerseys. The boys team recently got new jerseys while the girls team did not. Every 2 years the teams should be getting new jerseys but the girls team is stuck with the old ones. The team deserves new equipment for all their hard work and accomplishments.
