Mandatory Sensitivity Training for Players and Personnel For Winners

Mandatory Sensitivity Training for Players and Personnel For Winners

The Issue

We, the fans of the New England Patriots, demand our beloved team players and relevant personnel undergo sensitivity training to better accommodate the sensitivities and fragile feelings of the players and fans of the teams you vanquish week after week, year after year, decade after decade.

It has become clear that in order for you to avoid being talked about endlessly in other cities after winning a championship, the organization needs to be more considerate of the feelings of those fans, many of whom are unaccustomed to dealing with championship level playoff emotions and their outcomes. While some cities like Pittsburgh are not heard from as much because perhaps they have "Terrible Towels" to cry in, or others like Indianapolis and Denver console themselves with memories of "The Greatest Regular Season Quarterback. Ever.", it appears there are some cities like Seattle that can not stop watching you celebrate and are easily offended by players and fans making or holding signs "in the heat of the moment" of your local celebration that demonstrate their lack of unquestioned fandom for the players they know and love every day. This, despite apparently not noticing "Defecating Doug" doing his pre-meditated 6 part celebration in front of a global TV audience.

We plea with you then, to acknowledge that there are teams in cities with fan bases out there who are more sensitive than the more robust fans we are used to dealing with in New York, Baltimore, Montreal and LA and to address it by immediately deploying a comprehensive sensitivity training program for the entire organization.

We believe this will make a significant difference in letting fans who are inexperienced with winning traditions or who are not blessed to live in a true sports town to get past what they should be celebrating as an amazing season for their team and move on to the next phases of their lives.
