There has been a rise in animal abuse, dog fighting rings and illegal animal trafficking and also animal hoarding. These innocent animals are abused, forced to fight, starved and killed. The people involved committing these crimes get away with just paying fines and or a short time in jail.. We need to make the punishment much steeper for their actions. These people need to be locked away in a cage. The animals who get rescued end up in a shelter where most likely they will be euthanized. Its not untill the punishment is steep enough that people will stop the animal abuse.
