No permanent closure for now

Thank you to everyone who has signed this petition, we had over 600 signatures in the first 24 hours and are now up to 777.

Councillor Stephen Brain says "Due to a combination of good work by Peninsula ward Councillors, Matthew Pennycook M.P., residents and the very quick work of our Legal Services Team I can confirm that no permanent  closure will take place."

I don't know any more than the above. I will update again if there are any more developments. Hopefully the scale of the response will have shown Network Rail how valued this crossing is.
