On January 8th, Shion Takeuchi, creator of the adult animated comedy series "Inside Job", announced via Twitter that Netflix had canceled Season 2 of the show.

This announcement was a shock to many as the show has harkened immeasurable praise for its hilarious yet endearing story, focusing on a cast of diverse characters. Even before it's release, "Inside Job" was a highly anticipated series within and beyond the animation community. Its gained an impressive following and drew many individuals to care deeply for the show.

The characters and world of "Inside Job" have been thoughtfully conceptualized, written, and animated, and the hard work of the creatives behind this masterpiece of storytelling is a testament to their care and love for the series.

It leaves much questioning to the consumer as to why Netflix would make the choice to cancel such a well-received and beloved show with a sizeable and dedicated fanbase.

Adult animation should be allowed to survive amidst the many live-action shows! Animation has potential, and is a beautiful artform that offers avenues for original nuanced storytelling and visuals that live-action cannot directly assimilate.
