‘Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency’ ran for two seasons on BBC America, and on Netflix worldwide. Earlier today BBC America announced that they would not pick up the show for another season, but there is still a chance it could be continued by Netflix.

The show is based on the books by Douglas Adams, and although the plot is completely different, the Adams humour and general insanity remains the same. There’s everything from time travel to body swapping to gay fantasy Romeo and Juliet, and more, and it manages to be both tremendously funny and devastatingly heartbreaking in almost every episode. There is so much more potential for this show and these characters, and it deserves a third season!
