Stranger Things is an iconic miniseries we will all cherish for the rest of our lives and enjoy watching while the show lasts. And we all love the Original Soundtrack scored throughout the whole show. But I come to think that the show's Original Soundtrack for Season Three and/or Season Four could do so much better with additions from other artists from 80's or not (as long as the songs capture that 80's vibe our ears enjoy to hear every single time we click play on that episode we're watching).

We all loved Season One's Original Soundtrack. With iconic artists like The Clash; Peter Gabriel's "Heroes" tribute to David Bowie, which took a tear or two from us in the ending of Episode 3; and Moby's "When It's Cold I'd Like To Die", that gave us serious chills when our beloved Elle disappeared and Will came back to life.

And don't get me started with Season Two's Original Soundtrack. It was as great and maybe even greater than the first. It had a vaster variety of artists including  Michael Jackson; Ray Parker Junior; Queen; Bon Jovi; Metallica; The Clash; Barbra Streisand; Tangerine Dream; Pat Benatar's "Love Is a Battlefield" in that car scene with Steve pep talking to Dustin; Cyndi Lauper's Time after Time in the scene where we see Lucas bust a move with Max while we suffered for Dustin's rejection from the other girls he asked out to dance (#neverforget), and the most iconic scene in the whole season (or probably the whole show unless for now) playing "Every Breath You Take" by The Police, where we became fonder of Nancy's compassion for Dustin, Lumax becoming real, and finally the Mileven kiss we have been waiting for an entire year for god's sake.

I want to propose to Netflix, the Duffer BrothersShawn LevyKyle Dixon & Michael Stein, Series Music Department: Can Bolat (music publisher); Nora Felder (music supervisor); David Klotz (music editor) and  Lauren Fay Levy (music coordinator), to consider adding in to the Original Soundtrack of Season Three and/or Season Four several songs from the iconic french band "M83".

M83's music has evolved bit by bit along the years, but has never lost their personality and their essence. Their music would fit in the Soundtrack like a glove because of how real the 80's vibes feel when you listen to their music. It transports you off from the face of earth, fly you out to space, take you to somewhere nice for a few minutes, and it's nothing more than beautiful.

It is clear that not every song of their albums would be able to make the cut (Yes, I'm talking about one of our favorites: "Wait". It's true that the song is more than pleasant to the ear, but we aren't strangers to the fact that "Wait" not only contains some pretty modern melodies and synthesizers that could maybe be considered too futuristic for the 80's ambient, but has also been pretty much used up a little in several movies and TV-Commercials worldwide. So that will probably be a no-go for the cut). But we still have an endless selection of great songs to consider. The following songs from M83 to take in account for Season Three's Original Soundtrack (notice that the selection of the songs will be up to the studio's Music Department staff if Netflix agrees in fulfilling this petition) should be the following:

From the Album "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming"

  1. "Intro"
  2. "Midnight City"
  3. "Reunion"
  4. "Where The Boats Go"
  5. "Claudia Lewis"
  6. "This Bright Flash"
  7. "My Tears Are Becoming A Sea"
  8. "New Map"
  9. "Another Wave From You"
  10. "Fountains"
  11. "Steve McQueen"
  12. "Outro"

From the Album "You and The Night"

  1. "Holograms"
  2. "Un Nouveau Soleil"

From the Album "Before The Dawn Heals Us"

  1. "Lower Your Eyelids To Die With The Sun"
  2. "Moonchild"

From the Album "Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts"

  1. "Gone"
  2. "On a White Lake, Near a Green Mountain"

From the Album "Saturdays = Youth"

  1. "We Own The Sky"

I hope as much as many of the fans from the show & M83 included that Netflix takes into consideration this request. It would make us so happy to see our favorite songs from M83 in the show's OST, and it would definitely add an awesome vibe to the show.

Sincerely, The Stranger Things Fandom
