The Netatmo Weather Station is a great gadget, but it lacks one important thing: HomeKit support. Since 2017 developers can enable HomeKit on older devices through a software update. Thus the weather station could be retrofitted into HomeKit.

The Netatmo Weather Station is already HomeKit compatible through third-party solutions like Homebridge. This tells me that Netatmo should be able to do this natively. By bringing HomeKit support to the weather station they would make an already great product even better, as well as making sure it stays relevant and future proof.

With the Netatmo Weather Station integrated into HomeKit you can use it to turn power plugs and other accessories on/off based on temperature, humidity and CO2, making your home more energy efficient, healthy and smart.
