Joe Russo's Almost Dead featuring of Furthur's drummer Joe Russo, guitarist Tom Hamilton, bassist Dave Dreiwitz, keyboardist Marco Benevento, and guitarist Scott Metzger illustrate the versatility of the Grateful Dead's ever-expanding musical journey. According to Rolling Stone Magazine, "each member of JRAD are "a monster musician in their own right, the members approach the celebrated Dead catalog with a keen knowledge of composition and a mastery of their respective instruments".

Looking towards the future I believe Joe Russo's Almost Dead would be an excellent band to consider booking for a festival at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. I have spoken with a good number of folks who regularly attend the quarry that have all expressed their interest in Joe Russo's Almost Dead performing at the quarry.

With JRAD's history of sold-out performances, I also believe Joe Russo's Almost Dead would bring a good amount of revenue to the park and draw a crowd that ranges from all ages.
