Strip Celtic F.C. of honours due to child abuse within their youth club
The Issue
We, the undersigned, believe that the governing bodies of Scottish football should strip Celtic Football Club of all honours won during, and subsequent to, their cover up and continued denial of the "open secret" of child abuse within their youth club system.

In 1996, former Celtic Boys Club player Alan Brazil revealed that when he was 13 years old he had been sexually abused by the club manager, Jim Torbett. The allegations were heard at the Glasgow Sheriff Court, where Torbett was found guilty of shameless and indecent conduct with three juvenile players between October 1967 and March 1974. Torbett was given a prison sentence of 30 months.
Alan Brazil [... ]claimed that the Kelly family knew of the abuse and defended Torbett.
We believe that Celtic F.C. have never been fully held accountable for this disgraceful episode and demand that a full public inquiry be held into their past and present role in the cover-up of this disgusting act and of subsequently continuing a business association with one or more of those accused. Furthermore, if found guilty, sanctions similar to those imposed on Penn State University (http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/bigten/story/2012-07-23/ncaa-penn-state-punishment-sanctions/56427630/1) should be imposed.
