

Neighbors Say "NO" to Vulcan's Edsall Road Asphalt Plant (Fairfax County, VA)
The Issue
Vulcan Materials is submitting a proposal to Fairfax County to be allowed to build an asphalt plant at their Edsall Road (Springfield, Fairfax County, VA) site. This site is surrounded by residential neighborhoods and schools. As neighbors living here, we are concerned that an asphalt plant in this location would have a negative affect on our health, home values and quality of life.
We elected our Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to be our voice. When Vulcan tried to build this asphalt plant eight years ago, the community spoke up with a resounding, "No!"
Again, we say, "No!" to this asphalt plant, and we exhort Fairfax County to deny approval. County revenue cannot come at the expense of neighbors' quality of life, health or home values.
