We have found out that Ct DOC is able to give 4 hours of rec but they have decided to split the tiers up into 4 instead of 2 to decrease the amount of people. Duh, that should’ve happened in March instead of 22-23 hour lockdowns. But this is not a win. Our loved ones was still only getting 2 hours per day to clean their cell, shower, and use the phone. 
Yesterday was a holiday for some but definitely the start of suicide season. What did Ct DOC do? Go back to 2 hour recs but 30 minutes for the split up sides ( that is a hour a day)! Tell Governor Lamont and commissioner Quiros to try sanitizing their room (which includes a toilet and sink), go shower, and call your friends and family in 30 minutes and tell us if that is enough time. These people who are incarcerated will have mental strain and mental break downs. They are humans who deserve better. Covid19 is running rampant in prisons and jails because staff is bringing it in. 

We know 4 hours is possible. We demand staff follow Covid19 precautions and not terrorize our family and friends with their disregard for their health and overreaching abuse of power!
