Dear Supporters,
This Saturday Stop Solitary CT is hosting a COVID-safe Community Resource Fair to educate the public about the horrors of solitary confinement, push for the PROTECT Act, and offer resources to formerly incarcerated people and their families!!
As you may know, we advocated for the recent police accountability bill to include corrections. We got some provisions included in the legislation, but our fight cannot, and will not, end there! As part of our preparation for the next legislative session, this event will feature a free training. If you are formerly incarcerated or have a loved one, who is incarcerated, come attend a workshop where you will be trained to effectively interface with the media, and tell your story!! We will also be shooting a video at the end of this event, where you will get to share your story, and help us end solitary!
