Students across the state of Connecticut should all be educated with virtual learning right now. As of right now, COVID-19 positive numbers are spiking through the roof and it’s no secret, we’re seeing it everywhere. We will never get out of this exhausting cycle of masking, social distancing, being away from loved ones, quarantining, and self-isolating if we do not take the right measures. It is impossible to social distance inside classrooms, cafeterias, bathrooms, hallways and stairwells when there are hundreds of other students in our school buildings.
We need to bring this to the attention of our state government. Our government officials are the only ones that can input safe and efficient mandates to get covid under control. We need to hold them accountable and we need to know they are taking it as seriously as we would like them to.
Let’s speak up Connecticut. Students and their parents/families are worried, nervous, anxious, frustrated and angry not knowing what covid has yet to bring us. We need to keep ourselves safe and our families safe, especially the ones at greater risk of being hospitalized or are at greater risk of getting dangerous symptoms. This is serious, we need to take it serious, we do not need any more covid deaths. Let’s do the right thing. Let’s take the proper steps and at least go remote for a couple weeks.
