WE NEED EXPUNGEMENT IN NEBRASKA NOT THE BOARD OF PARDONS.

If you’ve ever been convicted of a crime MISDEMEANOR or FELONY you need to sign this petition because once you have a criminal conviction on your record it’s always there, even if you are granted a “Motion to Set Aside” judgment or a “Pardon” the charge itself will always remain on your criminal ((ONLY CAN AN EXPUNGEMENT OF THE CRIMINAL RECORD REMOVES A PARTICULAR CHARGE (s). 

A lot of people believe that their record is sealed at 18/19 and that’s not true, you have to go to court and file a ”MOTION TO SEAL” your criminal record it’s not just done because you become an adult. 

No shade towards the Nebraska Board of Pardons but I personally feel that if we are convicted in a court of law, we should be rehabilitated in a court of law and not with stipulations on our rights.

FUN FACTS 

There are federal grants about 1 million dollars that Nebraska misses out on every year to help with social services for offenders, Without an expungement provision Nebraska can’t even apply for them. WOW
