IMPORTANT UPDATE:

LB622 is scheduled to hit the Legislature Floor on General File (first of three rounds) Wednesday, April 19.

The deadline to sign is Monday, April 17. The petition will be presented on Tuesday, April 18.

The Nebraska Medical Cannabis Act (LB622) would provide an additional option for those experiencing chronic pain, disability or illness.

The medicinal benefits of cannabis have been demonstrated with overwhelming scientific and anecdotal evidence.

LB622 would provide Nebraskans a safer alternative to pharmaceutical drugs. It would save lives as demonstrated by reductions in the number of deaths caused by opioid addiction in states that have passed medical cannabis laws.

Medical cannabis would benefit veterans afflicted with PTSD, family members with neuromuscular disorders and friends, neighbors and co-workers dealing with conditions including cancer, diabetes and gastrointestinal problems.

The Judiciary Committee advanced the bill on a 6-1 vote. LB622 will go to General File for first round of debate later this session and we need your signatures of support.
