School is finally over, you’re headed out of the front doors and that’s when you see it. Dozens of cars lined up and a 15 minute wait just to get out of the parking lot. If being at school for 7 hours isn't enough, trying to get out of the parking lot makes the day even longer. Springville High School’s parking lot does not have enough room for the amount of students at our school.

Springville high currently has 1365 students attending our school. Of those, 429 students currently have a parking pass. Springville high has one student parking lot with only two exits, but because of the high demand of parking stalls some students decide to park almost a block away on the hill behind the school. Students also choose to park in the visitor or teacher parking lots because there is much less traffic in those lots. However parking there will usually results in a parking ticket to the student. This issue continues to worsen as new students park in the parking lot almost daily.

 Springville High School needs to expand its exits to have one left and one right turning lane at each exit as well as an entrance lane. This will not only help the Students of SHS, but anyone who attends football games, plays or any other event at the school. Please help us make a difference at Springville.
