House of Prism has been informed that the administration has mandated that the school’s Gay Straight Alliance remove their Pride Flag from the campus. Their decision was enforced after an out-of-state conspiracy Instagram influencer (an adult not related to Nease High) created a viral post complaining about the flag.

Superintendent Tim Forson has failed to protect and advocate for a marginalized group of teen students, who already feel unwanted on a daily basis. Politics have been spouted out as the reasoning but LOVE IS NOT POLITICAL.

Please join us in reaching out to Superintendent Tim Forson and Principal Lisa Kunze voicing the need for protection of these students from outside adult bullies. Every year between 5 and 10% of LGBTQ youth have attempted suicide, a rate 1.5-3 times higher than heterosexual youth.
