Hi everyone, 

   As you all know the NCLEX exam is required for all graduates to become official nurses. Currently, there is a shortage of available proctors to sit and administer this exam in a classroom setting and testing centers have been shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am writing to get support for the idea of moving the NCLEX to the home setting and utilizing a remote proctoring process similar to that of ProctorU. As you all know with the current COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare professionals are in dire need. Now more than ever it is important that nurses are on the floors helping those that are suffering. The month of May is closely approaching and thus, there are soon to be many new nursing graduates, and we all can not wait to start helping those in need. As new nursing graduates, we can not practice as RNs until passing the NCLEX examination. A remote testing process would allow for the continuation of social distancing and for more nurses to be registered quickly. Other proctored exams for professionals, like the PRAXIS for teachers, have already begun the process of moving their exams to the home. In a time where nurses are so desperately needed help me to move the NCLEX to the home. Please consider signing this petition, which will be forwarded to NCSBN in hopes they will move the NCLEX to the home. Thank you for your consideration.
