Saturdays in the fall are just about every college students favorite day of the week because more than likely it is game day for their university's football team. However, this day gets crushed if their team is playing at noon (11 am central and 9 am pacific). 12 pm is too early! College students have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get their college football tailgate experience. Furthermore, after a long week of academics, college students depend on Saturday to catch up on sleep. Taking away this day of rest fails to give students enough energy to root for their team. 

The solution- 3:30 game starts and beyond for NCAA football games. This fits not only fans schedules better, but also benefits local business and bars. The National College Athletic Association has the power to push games back to a comfortable time. I hope the association can find it in their hearts to no longer force students to wake up as the sun is rising to tailgate. Together we can make a difference.
