Both major parties exert an oversized control over the political process and as a result, addressing the important issues that we face as a nation has been sacrificed for the need to control the next election cycle. North Carolina Independents is urging the parties and voters alike to support the need for open primaries, nonpartisan redistricting and equal ballot access for independent/unaffiliated candidates. Only through a more open nonpartisan process, can real change happen.
