Many people and teens like myself have been waiting to get our licenses for months/years. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic DMVs are NOT allowing road tests for us to be able to get our licenses. 

so what do us teens who have to get a job do when we can’t get to and from our job? What about when your parents work and you have younger siblings in activities that you would have to bring them to? What happens when they open them up after 5-6 months and you’ll have to wait even longer because so many people are in line to get their licenses since it was closed? 

How come private drivers company’s are allowed to teach young teens to drive but we can’t take our test that lasts no longer than maybe 15 min in the car with only 3-4 people? How does that make sense. what if they opened it up and we would have to wear masks during our test a lot of people wouldn’t mind that for a few minutes to get the card and piece of paper they need and have been waiting for. 

In North Carolina we are in phase two, we should be allowed to TAKE OUR ROAD TESTS! or for a “safer solution” then riding in a car for a few minutes with the drivers test instructor when you’d come in contact with them at the actual DMV the same amount of time just let the kids who have the 60 hours and a parents approval get their license like in Georgia!
