As many of you know, this is the first time in 50 years that the Annual Homecoming Game between Moncton High and Harrison Trimble is cancelled due to Trimble moving down to 10-man. Trimble still has their own version of Homecoming, but...

We believe this is wrong for several reasons:

• It is a tradition for both schools to bring alumni back and reunite with current students
• For seniors, it is their last homecoming game in high school and taking it away would be wrong
• It always draws big crowds for both schools and assemblies occur prior to the game being commenced

We are not asking to have the game count for points in the standings. What we are asking is to have the NBIAA schedule a friendly exhibition match between the two schools on either Saturday night or Sunday night at 7 pm during Thanksgiving weekend, at Rocky Stone Memorial Field this year to keep the tradition alive, even if we have to use 10-man for this game only, or have them use 12-man.
