#SaveTheSash and Crown Miss USA 2015 on NBC

Whatever you believe about Mr. Trump, NBCUniversal's decision to NOT air the 2015 Miss USA pageant on July 12 will impact Donald Trump FAR less than it will impact hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent bystanders, including the contestants who have dreamt of this opportunity for months, years, or all their lives. People have differing opinions of what pageantry is, what pageant girls stand for, and whether or not they're still relevant in this day and age. But the fans of pageantry, the families of the contestants, and the former titleholders of the Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe pageants can tell you from personal, first-hand experience that pageants change lives ... and not just for the women who ultimately wear the crown. So please, for the sake of the women who were once little girls with big dreams and the determination to make them come true, sign this petition in support of convincing NBC to air the Miss USA pageant on July 12. Nobody's ignorance or intolerant remarks should come between these 51 contestants and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to become part of a rich sisterhood of women who are uniquely and confidently beautiful, each in their own way. And Baton Rouge deserves the opportunity to once again showcase Louisiana hospitality on national TV. Don't let this tradition be disrupted by The Donald.
