NBC and SNL endorse homophobic violence!

Eminem has a song, “Rap God” on his new album, in which he brags about his ability to commit homophobic violence. As he says in his song: “I'll still be able to break a motherfuckin' table over the back of a couple of faggots and crack it in half”

This is also accompanied by other lyrics such as:

“You fags think it's all a game”

and:

“Little gay looking boy
So gay I can barely say it with a straight face looking boy
You witnessing a massacre
Like you watching a church gathering take place looking boy
Oy vey, that boy's gay that's all they say looking boy”

NBC is apparently OK with Eminem and homophobic violence because they’ve booked him for Saturday Night Live (SNL). In keeping him for SNL they are approving of his despicable vitriol. Whether he will perform this song is yet to be seen, however, people who spew this type of rhetoric should not be tolerated. Please join me in writing to NBC to express your outrage that they would provide a platform for someone who believes that homophobic violence is something to be proud of.
