Solutions to save NBA 2k20 MyGM mode

Solutions to save NBA 2k20 MyGM mode
The Issue
Thank you for taking the time to read this. The new MyGM mode in NBA 2k20 has one small flaw that causes huge issues for us who play it. The issue is the new leaderboards and the restrictions it causes on game settings. We're not asking to get rid of the leaderboards, but there are some changes we believe will save MyGM from being the text-based simulator it is now. The issue is that in order for 2k to rank us we all have to play under the same game settings. The biggest issue this creates is that you can't change your quarter length and everyone has to play with 6 minutes quarters without an option to normalize the stats to minutes played. We speak for the majority of MyGM players when we say this is a mode-crippling issue. One of our biggest priorities when we play MyGM is realism, and this aspect squeezes all realism out of your league if you actually want to manually play the games. Because this feature is missing, manually playing a game in MyGM mode actually punishes you, as the rest of the CPU controlled league is playing 12 minute quarters, causing players on your team to have lower stats than the rest of the league. Every game you manually play at the moment decreases your players season averages and chances at end of year awards. Right now, if you actually care about any of your players winning MVP, ROY, or making an all-star appearance, your best option is to simulate every single game. Essentially, at the moment, MyGM 2.0 is a basketball version of Oregon Trail as there is no incentive to manually play the games. This issue has caused the game to just become a simulator for those of us who want realism. The easiest fix to this would be allowing us to normalize the stats to minutes played so our stats wont be compromised by the short quarters. Another fix could be creating different leaderboards for players based on the quarter length they choose. Plenty of other games have separate leaderboards for different parameters, we don't all have to be ranked under one board. Finally, our third recommendation is allowing players the option to opt-out of leaderboards completely so that we can enjoy the new MyGM mode and keep the realism we covet. We love the semi-narrative you find in MyGM mode, and the different aspects like Goals and player trust that you don't find in MyLeague, but with the current restrictions on quarter length we can't keep that, retain realistic stats, and manually play the games. We believe the solutions presented here are great fixes that will allow us to have all of those things. Fans of MyGM or Franchise or Association mode are some of the oldest fans of NBA 2k. We were enjoying these modes long before MyPlayer modes were implemented, and with the numerous patches and changes constantly being made to MyCareer, we believe that surely some compromise can be made to save a mode that so many of us love. Please sign if you support!
Thanks,
