Based on the borders between Berkshire and Oxfordshire, our community could not be more connected to the English countryside. Its beauty is not just a source of personal joy for so many, but also an integral part of our national heritage. However, this beauty is under threat from an industrial development planned in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB, or National Landscapes as they’ve recently been rebranded). 
 
The proposed development would not only disrupt the tranquillity and natural charm of this area but also bring with it additional traffic, light pollution and disruption to our precious greenbelt.

Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are designated for a reason - they are unique landscapes that should be preserved for future generations to appreciate and enjoy – our local community especially is synonymous with taking an immense amount of pride in our beautiful rural landscapes. They contribute significantly to tourism and local economies while providing habitats for diverse wildlife, with this new commercial planning application posing an immediate threat to pollinators and other vital parts of our ecosystem. 
 
We must stand against such industrial encroachments into these protected areas if we want our children and grandchildren to experience the same beautiful English countryside that we have enjoyed.
