Dear Supporters!

I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your June. Good news here to report, Montgomery County, MD  Counselor Kate Stewart's office is looking into the concerning aspects of the Nature Forward Bird and seeing if they can do anything with respect to permitting and regulation. Additionally, a reporter who has published nationally in esteemed periodicals including The LA Times, the New York times, and the Washington Post has contacted me and informed me that he plans to write a story with this issue as part of the story.

Additionally, I reread the ASTM standards, and noticed another area where the Bird is out of compliance. For anything over 13 inches, soft surfaces need to be installed due to fall risk. If a child were to fall from the ropes, which are like 5 ft high, the surface is hard wood.

Please continue to spread the word to raise awareness and keep kids safe!  As much as Nature Forward says they rely on experts, the people who use the equipment are the experts!  (I work in IT.  Our experts never get it right  without user experience incorporated!)

There is a word for ignoring users: Negligence.

Thank you for your continued support!

Catherine Howard
