It is apparent that support is growing to change the racist use of "Buffalo" to another name, even though the people of the city and the news outlet—as well as fans from its local sports teams—have found immense pride in its tribute to the magnificent animal. But the 218 brave "Buffalo" residents and others who signed this petition, have taken a stand to say, "We will denigrate Native Americans no more," despite the immense numbers of Native Americans and non-Native residents who proclaim to have had pride in the city's name. It is akin to the brave stand being taken against the more than 90 percent of Native Americans who enjoy the tributes of sports team names like Redskins, Chiefs, Braves, Warriors, Blackhawks, Indians, Fighting Sioux, Seminoles and more, while a small group of mostly non-Native folks have taken the brave stand to change those. We are so proud of you. Tell your friends to sign. Together we can make sure the racism of any symbol that incites the presence and impact of Native Americans in mainstream U.S. culture are completely wiped out. Native Americans suffer practically every social ill on scales that multiply—sometimes by 500 percent or more—any other ethnicity. And once we wipe out these symbols that offend a tiny percentage of our people, it will all be solved. End "Buffalo" Today!—MB
