Deborah Taylor, David Snartt and Paul Baines, councillors in the Bradgate ward are concerned that the Nationwide Building Society will be closing our local branch in Anstey. Anstey is a growing village with only one bank to provide a much needed service for our villagers and residents in the surrounding rural villages.

We have contacted Nationwide expressing our concerns and they have advised that there are other branches available nearby. However, none are easily accessible via public transport. We have many elderly and vulnerable residents who do not travel far and do not have the facilities/trust to do online or telephone banking.

We need to keep our local Anstey branch open.
