McNaughton Homes has just purchased the 105-acre farm across the road from Cool Spring / Laughlin Mill Pond in Newville.  Their goal is to build 500 homes on that land, filling it completely with houses and townhomes.

Needless to say,  that threatens the immense biodiversity of this little valley.  Thousands of people are coming from near and far to see the Roseate Spoonbills that have appeared this week - and they’ll never be seen here again if their habitat is destroyed.  Not to mention the hundreds of other species of animals and plants that call the Blue Hill Green Space home.
