In 1971, a law was passed to ensure the protection of Wild Horses and Burros in the United States of America. This law prevents the harrasment, capture and death  of our horses. In answer to the struggle to control the Wild Horse and Burro population, the Trump Administration proposed a budget on the project and to remove BLM (Bureau of Land Management) restrictions in controling the wild horse and burro population. In short, this would allow the BLM to controll the horse population through any means (including mass slaughter).  

By lifting the laws protecting our Wild Horses, countless horses and burros will be destroyed. Though the Trump Administration proposes to lift these laws, 80% of Americans do not support this action. In the place of euthanasia, this petiton promotes managing the wild horse population through birth control.
