parkrun/National Trust = a perfect combination!

This seems to be the opinion of many supporters who have commented on the petition, and I agree. Unfortunately The National Trust appear to want to sever the link, beginning with Enniskillen parkrun at Castle Coole. Money is the driver, the Fermanagh properties run at a loss, so let's lose 100+ visitors to Castle Coole each week many of whom are already National Trust members or who may be considering taking out membership. Enniskillen parkrun at Castle Coole showcases the property for the National Trust. "Speaking in 2014 about the relocation to Castle Coole, Jim Chestnutt, General Manager for the National Trust`s Fermanagh properties said; “We're so pleased to have been chosen to be the host venue for this fantastic scheme and we are excited by the amount of interest parkrun is attracting. We’re aware that Castle Coole is a green oasis on the edge of Enniskillen, and so it’s great that we can facilitate sporting activity in this way, and hopefully encourage more people to come and run at Castle Coole. Re-connecting people with our great outdoors lies at the very heart of the National Trust`s strategy" How times change....
