Hello everyone!

During the previous consultation on the Bus Connects Plan, you signed a petition online objecting to certain aspects of the proposal. You were each one of 3500 individual submissions that came from the Dún Laoghaire area organised by our People Before Profit branch in the area. Those submissions made up 10% of the total amount of submissions received on the plan.

Following this, the NTA have made significant changes to the proposal and have addressed many of our concerns, showing that when we get together as a community we can force change. People power works. Unfortunately, there are still a number of issues with the new bus connects proposal which was announced last week. You can find details of it here.

More generally we need to, not only protect, but improve the service on many of our local routes.

Over the next week, I will be hosting a number of information meetings around the borough where you can see just how the new plan will affect your area. These meetings will be:
 

• Monday, November 4th: The Sallynoggin Inn at 7pm
• Monday November 4th: Loughlinstown Community Rooms 8.30pm
• Thursday November 7th: Bakers Corner 8pm
