Recently, one of my friends took her own life and I don’t want her death to be in vain. I started to think what I could have done if I was there. I would’ve had to call the suicide hotline which is not short and memorable like 9-1-1. The current phone number is 1-800-273-8255. I strongly believe if the number is shorter people could remember it better and therefore use it more than the current eleven digit number. This means this change will be life saving. Please take time to sign this. By doing so, you might be saving a life. The number I think would be best is 7-2-9 as it's hard to dial the number by accident.
