Dear Petitioners,
We appreciate your interest in the quality of the Public Forum debate topics that are used at tournaments. The resolutions provided by NSDA are drafted and proposed by a committee of experienced educators and coaches from our community. Your feedback on what makes a topic preferable is valued and the discussions happening across the country will help inform future topics and resolution wordings. Your thoughts and opinions will be shared with the committee for consideration moving forward.
After further review of the chosen November resolution, we are confident there will be high quality debates that foster competitiveness, but most of all, learning for students. Therefore, there will be no change in the November resolution provided by the National Speech & Debate Association.
Best of luck in your debates and thank you again for providing essential feedback.
