Fix the NRL

The Issue

On behalf of the loyal fans of the NRL, I am fed up with the path that the game has taken over the past few years. We have been putting up with terrible refereeing, video ref/bunker blunders, a warped judiciary system, inconsistent match review committee and a bunch of ridiculous rules changes for the past few years making the game harder and less enjoyable to watch each week. The final straw perhaps is the match review committee's decision to hand down a suspension to St. George-Illawarra back-rower Tyson Frizell for bumping into a referee who got in his way during a moment in his team's clash with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 21 of the NRL. Rugby League is still the game we all love to watch and play but the current path of the NRL is certainly testing the loyalty of it's fans.

I propose that we, as fans, take a stance and send a message to Todd Greenberg and the NRL that they need to step in and listen to the fans - the customers of the business. In Round 24 of the NRL, I propose that we send a message to these administrators by boycotting the NRL. This means that we will not tune into the television broadcast on either the Nine Network or Fox Sports for ANY game and we will not attend ANY game at a stadium. Low ratings and terrible crowds should send a message that we will not tolerate the rubbish that has been ongoing for the past few years to put our game in the state of a new low that it is in now.

It is not too late to put a stop to this and return the game to it's fans.
