How many animals suffer because the cost of treatment is simply unaffordable? A pet is for life, through the good times and the bad.

How many people are in debt due to the rising costs of animal healthcare? Why should people be denied the chance to save/help their best friend. 

Even with insurance there's a limit on what they will cover and trying to get them to cough up is like getting blood out of a stone and they will do anything to avoid paying out. I have just been through this with my cat, I took premium cover out for vet fees but by the time my cat had diagnostic tests, I had more or less reached my limit on what the insurance would cover and he had emergency surgery on top of this that I footed the bill for.

How is this fair? Cost of treatment has risen extremely high and policies haven't reflected this in their cover. Things need to CHANGE! 

I am proposing that we band treatments like they do in human dentistry to make it affordable if this is not possible then can we at least make set fees for pet treatment and ensure its VAT exempt.

To some people their pets are the equivalent of their children and I know that many people are put off rescuing animals or give them a dignified end to their life due to the fact that they feel they simply can't afford to help their pet in their time of need.

Many people use pets as therapy animals, disability animals and companions to those who are on their own to combat loneliness. If vet costs were affordable to all, then this would no doubt reduce the amount of abandoned animals.
