National Patient Transport Group CEO: I was on leave for breast cancer surgery when you sacked me - please reverse the decision

I’ve been a nurse and ambo for 40 years – that was until last month, when my employer sacked me while on leave for urgent breast cancer surgery
Losing my job while going through this is a huge blow. It's devastating, emotionally but financially too - we have a mortgage and are on a single income. I thought I had a job to return to.
But after taking some time off while getting radiation therapy and recovering from surgery, National Patient Transport Group informed me I didn't have a job anymore. I’d kept NPT management informed through the whole process. For months they didn’t bother to even check on my health – then out of the blue got a letter saying I didn’t have a job anymore.
I can’t believe they could do this to any employee. We’re a company that transports patients in this exact position and helps them, but my loyalty seems to have been totally overlooked.
The reason they gave me was that I'd been away from work as a casual for longer than 3 months, and told me to hand in my uniform. But to ignore that I’d been going through breast cancer during that time just isn’t right. At my "lowest ebb" without any ongoing contact, support or discussion, they have decided to "sack"me,
All I want is my job back when I have recovered from cancer and ready to return. Please sign my petition to help me ask National Patient Transport Group to allow me to come back to work and continue helping people.
