Providing free public restrooms inside Rizal Park, Manila

Providing free public restrooms inside Rizal Park, Manila
The Issue
This is about the petition to have a free access of restrooms in Rizal Park. A certain public park in Manila, Rizal Park, have a restroom fee of five pesos per person. This issue affects the credibility of the park causes the lessen of tourists and travelers visiting the park. We think that this issue should be solved by the National Parks Development Committee. Many visitors experienced this problem since then.
We would like to ask the National Parks Development Committee to handle this situation for the benefit of not just the people who visits the park but for them too. The people who have been peeing behind the trees and grasses since “pay toilets” rule started will also decrease, if the National Parks Development Committee noticed this petition. Also, the tourists and travelers will be more encouraged to visit the park because of the thought that they will not get worried about where they should pee if they forgot to bring coins with them. The cleanliness of the restrooms will not be a problem because there are janitors and guards nearby the area.
The solution we are proposing is the separation of a free and pay public toilet. Toilets should be accessible to everyone in need. If a visitor is in need to urinate or do one’s business, they should have an option to choose if they will use a pay toilet or a free one. Having a separate toilet will also minimize the congestion which is a problem when the park is too crowded. Paying 5 pesos for a use of toilet is reasonable enough if the restroom is well maintained. It shows that the fee we paid is being used to provide us a sanitary restroom. But if it lacks the sanitation we have paid for then, having to pay the fee is unnecessary. There are malls that have both of these toilets and we have seen that this is more convenient than having to be forced to pay five pesos for a short time use of a restroom.
