Dedicate Garrison Beach to the Local Animal Conservation Center

Dedicate Garrison Beach to the Local Animal Conservation Center
The Issue
Sandy Hook is home to one of New Jersey’s most popular beaches, but less notably, it is also home to a large conservation center. This center happens to be directly adjacent to the beach, specifically Garrison Beach, thus being directly affected by a high trafficked area. Being so heavily populated by beach goers, the issue of noise pollution is a prominent and potentially fatal one to the animals that inhabit Sandy Hook's conservation center.
These areas can be protected by this threat of noise pollution by setting up a radius around the bats’ home to prevent noise pollution from interfering with their echolocation. This petition urges Jon Jarvis, head of NPS, whom is in direct authority over Sandy Hook's beaches, to consider shutting down one of Sandy Hook's beaches,Garrison Beach, in order to create a safe acoustic bubble for these animals.
